About Desire
by Robert G Parent

Desire is like a moth to a flame and draws you into what you desire
until it consumes you and you are forever changed. Be Careful what
you desire. Desire is a powerful force and a close cousin to Love.
It's easy to mistake one for the other. Wars have been fought over
desire mistaken for love. However, there have been great things
manifested into this world brought through desire. that have changed
the world for the better.

While we are here, we cannot escape desire. It's so powerful that we
can use it and not even know until we get to a point where we see how
we use desire. This is where we get a flash of insight, the "ah"
moment, where the boundries between the soul and self come through --
at least in that moment. The quote in the song "Because the Night"
tells it all. "Desire is hunger is the fire I breathe. Love is the
banquet on which we feed."
